Weekly Update
Our Week ending 7th July
We have been continuing our topic 'Animals' .
In literacy we have looked at the story of 'How to grow a dinosaur'. This story really captures our imaginations and we enjoyed making our own seed packets for growing lots of different creatures! Your magical beans and seeds will be on the way home to you shortly.
In maths we have been looking at time. This includes thinking about the days o f the week, months of the year and beginning to look at an analogue clock. The children practised recognising the month that their birthday is in, as well as which days of the week we do certain things.
We have loved looking 'back in time' at dinosaurs this week. We've talked about how dinsoaurs were around even before people! We have made dinosaur skeletons and our own fizzy volcanoes.
