In autumn 2021 Local British Legion members visited the school congratulating them on raising money during the Poppy Appeal. Children learnt about the significance of Remembrance Day and school held a service with pupils having a time of silence to reflect on those that have given their lives for us and those that continue to fight to try and keep peace in the world.
Class 4 led a Remembrance Service where all classes contributed by making poppy stones and paper poppies . Pupils looked at the War Memorial near Breadsall Church and did some research on the soldiers and also on the animals that were used during the war.
