They also give information about our 'writing rhymes' and our 'actions'. Writing rhymes help children to remember how to write the letter correctly whilst the actions serve as a prompt if children are unable to recognise the letter based on the visual representation alone.
Children in Reception will learn Set 1 and 2 sounds throughout the year.
