As a parent/carer you are automatically a member of the PTFA but we would be delighted if you would attend the meetings or volunteer to help in other ways. We have parents/carers helping in organising events, running refreshments, and purchasing (on the PTFA’s behalf) gifts and prizes for various functions.

We raise about £4000 per year which is used at the discretion of the School and the PTFA to purchase items that will benefit the pupils. Recent purchases include book bags for all children in Key Stage One,  reading books for the bronze, silver and gold lists, and funding towards classroom resources for the new school building. We have also subsidised school trips, educational visitors and purchasing items needed for extra-curricular activities. Fundraising activities have included School discos, end of term lolly sales, raffles, second-hand book sales, and working with the children to create mother’s and father’s day gifts.

We run a School Lottery each year, which when all the numbers are taken raises another £1000. This is a very easy way to help the PTFA funds and possibly win a prize! A number costs £20.00 per year. Each week two numbers are drawn in School, one receives £10, and the other £5.00. If an unallocated number is drawn, the money is rolled over to the end of term “accumulator”. Profits go straight into the PTFA funds to support equipment and activities to benefit the pupils. Please get in touch with Mrs Crick at the School Office at info@breadsall.derbyshire.sch.uk if you would like to join.
