Welcome to Acorn class
Welcome to all our new starters. We can't wait for you to start your journey with us on Friday 5th September. Have a look at our page below for information on starting term and about our topic.
Our topic this term will be 'Beyond your imagination'. A more detailed parent overview can be found below.
Our class motto is 'Let's Play!'
We love learning through play, in Acorn class, learning is child led , creative and fun.
All children will need their PE kits in school for FRIDAY. We will be doing PE with Mr Grice, from the Amber Valley Schools Partnership. Children will not be getting changed fully for PE immediately. We normally start with just jumpers and shoes!
Reading books are changed on a Thursday. Please ensure books are in school every day as we will hear your children read in school. Children will initially bring home books with no words in. These are intended to help children build their language skills. Alongside these they will also be bringing home word cards to practise blending.
At the end of each week as summary will be posted to Tapestry where parents/carers can access photos.
