We are looking forward to another great term of learning, growth, curiosity and fun!

Our new topic is the History-based

'Invaders and Settlers -

Anglo-Saxons to Vikings',

where we will be exploring what happened to Britain during the time of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings and learning why our island was invaded so many times by so many other cultures! We will look at how these civilisations lived, what they believed in, how they changed Britain and the legacies they left, and also why their time in the British Isles ended.

Our class books are  'Beowulf' by Michael Morpurgo and 'How to Train your Dragon' by  Cressida Cowell, as well as a wonderful range of poetry, fiction and non-fiction texts to enrich and deepen our learning and engagement.

Weekly dates to remember:

Monday - Reading Records checked (Reading Stars certificates and merits awarded) / PE

Tuesday - BYOB (bring your own book day) 

Wednesday - Homework Help  club at lunchtime

Thursday - All homework, homework folders and pink Maths books due in  /    spelling tests

Friday -  BYOB / new homework and spelling words sent home / PE
