Class 4 - Oak

WELCOME TO OAK CLASS

IT'S THE AUTUMN TERM AND OUR TOPIC IS:

WORLD WAR II:

WHY DID THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN TAKE PLACE?

To find out about we will be learning, open our curriculum overview for Autumn term found at the bottom of this page (will be uploaded by the end of the first week of term)

Important information:

To help you to be ready for school everyday,   try  to  remember to:

  • Make sure you have a small, clear pencil case with a set of colouring pencils in. All other equipment will be provided by school.  Please do not bring in big pencil cases  as they do not fit in the trays underneath our tables. If the pencil case does not fit, your child will be asked to leave it at home.
  • Read at home at least 3    times a week and  get your    reading record signed    by an adult.   Bring your book and reading record into school everyday please.
  • Hand your homework in every week by Wednesday.
  • Practise your weekly spellings ready for the spelling test on Friday.   Bring in your spelling folder so you can  file the next  spelling sheet  to keep it safe!
  • Ensure your PE kit is in school.  This term PE for Year 5 and Year 6 will be on a   Monday  with Mr Samuels and on a Friday with Mr Grice (AVSPP).
  • If you would like your child to walk home or to a different location in the village, please fill in the form found below  and return to Miss Porter. A new form will need to be filled out even if your child is in Year 6 and they had permission to walk home alone in Year 5. The form is attached below.
  • Please let me know if your child is going to be collected by a different adult.  I will  ring home if a different adult comes to collect your child once I have dismissed the rest of the class at the end of the school day.
